I am more of a self-taught artist, a native of Minnesota, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  I began learning to draw as a young child as my father John Bailey was a artist and my guidance and an inspiration throughout my life. I can't remember not drawing.  At seventeen I enlisted in the Navy, I was able to continue my development of my art skills through correspondence courses. as a pipefitter, sheet metal worker and welder and learned welding at a high level and continued welding after getting out of the service and did make a number of sculpture's thur the 70's. In 1972 I studied figure drawing with James Childs in St Paul, Minnesota.  In 1973 I opened a antique and art gallery and also attended night figure drawing classes at the Aterier Lack fine art school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, studying life drawing from Richerd Lack, Stephen Gjertson, and etching from Daniel Graves. also took life drawing classes in 1975 from Richard Serren at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. From this time on I would try to draw from life as mach as I can. Exhibited at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Russell Museum in Grate falls Montana, The Vietnam Experience Landmark center St. Paul, Mn. the Minnesota State Fair, and various galleries and are represented in private collections throughout the country. In 1976, 1977 I taught etching at the Aterier Lack fine art school In Minneapolis, Mn.  and I have given many privet classes in drawing, etching and dry point throughout the years.
